Poor Bailey bear is congested! I could hear it starting to come on a day ago, but it finally appeared yesterday - last night especially. She started to cry on the monitor and I went to get her to find her not being able to breathe through her nose, which made her cry even more, which made her not be able to breathe even more. I had to sit up with her for a long time and rock her to sleep in an upright position so she could drain a little bit. We have been through this a few times before and it usually lasts a week or more. Snot is draining out constantly and she protests SO much when I use the syringe on her nose, so it's hard to get at it a few times a day like usual. I read that babies do not have the ability to blow their nose until they are in their toddler years - I forgot the time frame exactly. She finally did go to sleep last night around midnight until about 6:30am.
When I went to put her down for a nap in her crib, she cried and cried which stopped up her nose even more. I had too many things to do today so I couldn't hold her and rock her to sleep - so I put her in her trusty My Little Lamb swing. She was out in about 10 minutes. I put her in there bc it is at an upright angle, and that is much better for her drainage than laying flat in her crib...plus it soothes her as it rocks her to sleep. I hate to see her freak out bc she cannot breathe, it's horrible! I put her in her crib and she cries really hard while looking at me, and she holds her hands out to me like 'please pick me back up' - it's so sad! She never does that unless she's in this state, so I pick her up right away and hold her to calm her down.
On another note, Chris got a different computer for the house so we did not have to always use our laptops on the docking station. I guess it's got a million gazillion badabillion amounts of space on it so that I can dump all of my pictures that I edit on there. I take up ridiculous space on my computer with Photoshop and all of the high-res pictures that I take, so this will work out much better. Let's see...oh yes, and we are heading back to Destin this weekend as well. We are finally going to get our windows tinted there bc a friend of Chris' is coming with his wife and son to do it for us. No more faded comforters from leaving the curtains open!
Uh oh...the princess has risen from her slumber! I'm on in...5-4-3-2-(silent 1)-go.
