Bailey is still congested, and woke up last night around 11pm not being able to breathe well. She finally went back to sleep at midnight only to wake again just before 2am. She moved around in her crib until she positioned herself with her feet propped up on the bars, and sat and stared at her nightlight for almost an hour. I kept checking on her and moving her back to the middle of her crib, but she went right back to where she was...staring...not really crying, just laying there. It was odd for her, but I guess she was up anyways - might as well stare at the bright blue light. It's logical, I think. She fell asleep eventually and woke up around 7:30 this morning to Cinnamon barking at Chris. I was very upset bc neither one of us slept, and her appt was today, I knew she would be cranky. Here it was 7:30 with a 10:15 appt. I went and got her and tried to get her to sleep with me in bed after she ate...no luck.
She was really calm at her visit, but I knew she was very tired and this calm state was only going to last for so long - it had already been about 3 hours which is a long time for Bailey to be up before her first nap. They pricked her finger to test for anemia, and she was negative. She was supposed to be at least at a 36, and she was a 37. Thank you iron-fortified oatmeal and nourishing milk. She started to cry when Dr. Scott laid her down to do his examination. She didn't stop for a while after that - she cried so hard she couldn't breathe...which made her cry even more. I had to stay in the room for a while post examination in order for her to calm down enough to go in the main area. She finally passed out in her car seat on the way home, and is laying down now to try to nap. I'm posting her stats on the page 'Bailey' - there is a link to the right under the blue picture of the bird. She was right on with her development though - growing up fast!
