We were not able to go to the 5pm Saturday service as planned, so we went to the 11:15 Sunday morning instead. The line to check in kids was so ridiculously long, even getting there 30 minutes early. We were able to skip all the way through and go to the 'newcomers' line and get right in. We dropped off her bag with bottles and toys etc. and left her to go to the service (which was a really great service by the way, just a little too long). When we returned to the room to pick her up, the room was all dark with the other babies ages 0-11 months sitting in various swings and bouncers around the room.
Bailey was in one of the bouncers playing with the toys hanging down. The lady went and got her to bring her to us, and her little eyes were red and had fresh tears in them. The lady said that she just changed her diaper - which I am assuming is the reason for tears bc she cries when she's tired and her diaper is changed. The lady said that she did really great and played with another baby on the floor for a bit, and she only cried the once for a short time. All in all, the nursery was a success this first visit :) I thought that I would be upset dropping her off, but it was no biggie. I was more worried for the people in the nursery dealing with Bailey for the first time...but she's pretty much an easy baby.
It was refreshing to go to service with Chris again while knowing that Bailey is in the same building in a room of mini friends, and we could go get her at any time. Good first nursery visit!
