When we left TX last week, she was pulling up and sitting down with ease - she is excelling all the more here in FL. A few days ago she pulled herself up on her little push toy, and I pushed her towards Chris at his desk and she kept walking the whole way there while holding onto the toy (about 10 feet). By the time I grabbed the camcorder, she was already tired of pushing her cart and wanted to sit down. I snapped mini footage of her but nothing like that first long stretch. Here are 2 links from one day. One is in our bedroom, and the other in the living room.
Today, I was trying to help her to 'cruise' around on furniture to practice her walking skills. She is a total fan of Nilla Wafers, so I cut them into smaller pieces and coax her into coming toward them. I edited this video by cutting off the awkward beginning, but it still hasn't finished editing it - maybe it will be fixed by the time you watch it, but if not...I tried!
Here is another one that made me laugh - I was trying to get her to walk towards me again.
Bailey is also standing on her own for long periods of time. She pulls up on something, then pushes off of it and balances. Me and Tara both hold her up and then let go of her and clap when she stands there by herself. She can stand for a long time though. I see her taking her first steps pretty soon at this rapid rate that she's progressing.
I have not really taken pictures so far, believe it or not - I've been too busy chasing this baby all over the condo! I will try to take some while I have this beautiful beach as a backdrop.
