- 10 Months Old -

Tomorrow, September 4th, my little Bailey will be 10 months old - where has the time gone?! Amazing how fast it zoomed by, but looking back...it took a long time to get here. Hmm. Such is life. So...a few fun 10 month old facts would be in order.

Bailey is eating 3 nice sized meals a day - still oatmeal mixed with some sort of fruit or plain in the mornings (oatmeal has the iron and DHA), and lunch and dinner vary as long as she gets her food pyramid in there daily. Today for lunch she munched on a few things but didn't have meat.

As you can see, she loves her cheese, Ritz crackers, and broccoli. She always drinks water from her sippy cup with her meals too. She really likes Chick Fil A nuggets just like her mama! I take the skin off for the most part, and tear them into smaller pieces. She will eat almost 2 whole nuggets now...that's actually quite a bit of bite sized meat!

She is also still clapping her hands and saying 'YAY' - she's a feisty little girl too...she gets that part from her daddy though ;D

And then she holds her cup over the edge, and drops it on the floor...over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Then over again.

Sleeping schedules have been quite erratic, and I'm pretty sure that is because her teeth are bothering her. She sucks on her hands and chews on her fingers ferociously - way more than usual. I will not be surprised if some pearly whites don't pop up soon. I have to give her some children's Triaminic for pain before she sleeps, otherwise she has issues actually falling asleep. She woke up at 3:30am for 2 nights, then last night she woke up at 12:30am. I had to rock her back to sleep and hold her for a long time because she would cry when I put her back down. To make matters worse, she's also really congested and can't breathe...so she wakes up for that too. She HATES not being able to breathe.

I bought her a smaller ball from the grocery store, and a really large one from Walmart - and she really likes them both. If I put her down in her room, she zooms over to the large ball and starts slapping it and laughing. She chases the smaller ball all over the living room. I got a video of her doing this today. In one of these videos, you can see her bring herself to a standing position sort of. I didn't like being across the room videotaping her because if she fell back on the travertine, she would not be happy. I can tell she's going to be a handful when she's walking! I had to put these on YouTube because the processing took too long. You can watch them here:

The other day Chris had his laptop out to do work in the morning, and B Bear when into crazy mode and was doing anything she could to get at that laptop...she was relentless. Chris finally let her hit the keys a bit because she was coming at him so fast no matter how far away he pushed her back to on the bed.

She is a sweet little girl. She loves to repeat everything you do, and she tries to make the sounds you make. If you do 3 syllables, she tries to utter 3 that sound like what you just said. Her hair is growing nice and fluffy, and looking more like daddy's every day (minus the gray...I mean uh, 'natural highlights'). She can pull herself to her knees really well, and has pulled to her feet a couple of times - but it's getting more regular that she tries. What a crazy time ahead! :)
