- Big 2-0 -

So Bailey finally turned 2 years old on the 4th of November which was a few weeks ago. As usual, I'm right on top of the family blog :-/

Here are a few of her birthday pictures:

She carried around this stack of balloons everywhere she went - this picture was priceless.
Red Velvet & cream cheese cupcakes - she liked em! Just like her mommy and daddy.
The infamous Mikey balloon
Her walking away with the balloons...she was so ridiculously cute all day.
This was cute, she kept whispering to me trying to tell me something...I never did find out what she was trying to say!

She had a Mickey/Minnie themed birthday, and this blow up Mickey balloon was her favorite of all - she's still dragging its deflated lifeless body all around the house almost a month later.

Her 2 year checkup was good - she's about average on everything...50% head and weight, 60-65% for height. Her next checkup is at age 3, crazy to think that it goes a whole year.

She says TONS of words, way too many to mention here. Some cute words that she mispronounces though are:

Bidza (beedzuh) - her zebra that she sleeps with at night.
Finnan - Cinnamon...although she's starting to actually say Cinnamon recently

I did get some good video on my actual recorder (not my usual phone recorder) but I will put that up when I have time to extract it. There is a cute one of her seeing Mickey for the first time at her birthday and getting excited...it's really cute actually.

A few of her favorite things are:
-cheese (not American though)
-hot dogs (recently since her birthday)
-white cheddar cheese puffs (Cheetos natural brand)
-broccoli (since she first started eating solid food)
-chips (a variety)
-pretzels
-almond milk
-fruit snacks
-Bubble Guppies (tv show, she LOVES it)
-Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (knows all of the characters)

She's trying to potty train - pees in the potty quite a bit...but still doesn't tell me that she has to go without me asking her every 15 minutes or after she already went - we are getting there though :) She likes the "little potty" most of the time, but often wants to sit on the "big potty" with her kid seat attachment. She loves to play with toilet paper by tearing it into pieces and putting them in the potty as she sits. She also likes to say "try the potty" when she doesn't want to lay down for a nap or bed time...she knows that it buys her some time. She's smart!

She can count to 13, knows all of the alphabet by sight (not all of the lowercase), almost all of her shapes (for her age range), knows her colors, family names, has a fantastic memory which will greatly benefit her in the long run. We are proud of that smart little girl, she's growing so darn fast! We are going to start looking at preschools soon, that's crazy to think about. Sigh. She brings us such joy.

Popcorn is another favorite of hers - although I make her take a drink after every 2 pieces to avoid choking or lodged kernels! It's dangerous to eat if left unattended.
This is her playing with one of her presents from her uncle Nate (NayNay) - Mr.Potato Head...which she loves.
She FINALLY got to turn around in her carseat at 2 years old (she has a fanatical mommy that saw the difference a rear facing seat makes until 2...no way was I turning it earlier) - this is her listening to the movie headphones for the first time and watching the big tv in the suburban.

This is Bailey today (11.27.12) - she's getting ready to take the pups outside with me, and it was cold! She's getting to where she will actually wear her hats and not take them off. She has many many hats and gloves, so I like that she will wear them.

My beautiful little girl hugging another one of her birthday gifts from Poppy and GiGi
